From Garden Pocket Snails To Botanical Floral Designer

Welcome to Alysia Marie Floral, a floral design studio based in Oakland, California. We make floral arrangements inspired by the fresh and unique; seasonal, hand-selected blooms and curious botanicals. Our style is vibrant, lovey and lush – with a wink to the whimsical. We consult, design, and deliver for full scale events – from intimate luncheons and business meetings, to fundraising galas and weddings. We also offer rotating weekly arrangements to local restaurants, offices, and hotels. Our designs are thoughtfully customized to welcome your guests and hail the seasons.

I grew up in gardens. My Dad is a botanist, and I spent my childhood planting, weeding, watering, and playing in the garden. When I wasn’t outdoors, I loved drawing and painting, expressing the natural world with oil pastels and watercolor. In school, I focused on the visual and performing arts; and graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. As an adult, my career steered toward Event Management and Wedding Coordination, where I’ve enjoyed using my eye for detail to stage gorgeous special events throughout Southern and Northern California. Now, I create exceptional floral arrangements inspired by my childhood gardens and box of paints. I draw from dance, a love of movement, and years of study with organic form in space. Trained through the Environmental Horticulture & Floristry Department at City College San Francisco, and seasoned with years of industry know-how, I deliver dynamic designs, thoughtfully customized, and always event appropriate.
